NO CLASS SATURDAY NOV 12TH- BODYBUILDING COMPETITION

THERE WILL BE NO CLASS SATURDAY NOV 12TH. BOTH MYSELF AND LARRY THE DRILL INSTRUCTORS WILL BE COMPETING IN A BODYBUILDING COMPETITION SATURDAY IN CORAL SPRINGS.

No Class New Year’s Night

Hello Everyone while I head out for some R & R The Vacation Schedule until Aug 22nd will be as follows:

Monday  6:30am to 7:30am   Wednesday 6:30am to 7:30am 

Friday 6:30am to 7:30am

Monday Evening NO CLASS   Tues Evening 6:30pm to 7:50pm 

Wednesday NO CLASS

 Saturday Morning  9am to 11am

Class will pick up the regular schedule again Aug 22nd.

FREE GROUP CARDIO TRAINING!!!

We will be training for the July 4th Duathlon at Tradewinds Park. We will be forming Relay Teams to do this event. The Duathlon is 1/2 mile Run, 10 mile Bike Ride, and 3 mile run. We will form 2 or 3 people Relay Teams to go and put our training to the test. Of course a few of our crew is going to do the entire event themselves as they have been challenging themselves on the race circuit.Our Relay Teams have been in the top 5 spots of the last 5 Duathlons we have done and I want to keep us right there moving forward, we train and then we go and compete and let the chips fall where they may, may the best Relay Team win as long as it is one of ours!

You do not have to compete in the Duathlon to come and train with us, you do not have to be participating in the Group Diet or any other event to come and train with us, if you want to come and train because you are taking action to lose bodyfat then come and train with us!

The training for this will be on every Sunday Morning from 9am to 11am. I encourage you to come out for as long as you can, if you have to leave early that is ok just come for the amount of time that you can. Remember every little bit helps your goal!

Bring the spouse, significant other, kids, family friends or whomever else you can think of you want to be fit and trim!

Our Training will consist of jogging on the beach, riding our bikes in the park where it is safe, jump rope, and jogging on the beach. This is purely a cardio workout and if you are looking to lose bodyfat as we many of you are that are participating in the group diet then you need to be in attendance as much as you can.

This is free group training for anyone and everyone who would like to come out and burn up some fat! Train with friendly people and get your heart pumping for the rest of the day.


Another 5k Success!!

Hey Everyone,I just wanted to say thanks to all of you that came out and participated in the Feeding South Florida 5k.I know I can be a little pushy to join these  “Group Extra Curricular Activities”   (no comments from you Monsell) but we are all training and what is the training for if every once in a while you don’t put your training to the test. I have never been a big fan of spinning instructors that have never ridden an actual bike, fitness instructors who have never actually done anything besides workout inside of some gym, to me this is non sense in my humble opinion I have always talked the talk and walked the walk and I want everyone at PerFit to understand that is why we do what we do.

I do not operate a facility that just trains people, workout after workout sometimes many people need a definite goal to work toward and so I find challenges for everyone and I just want to say thanks to all of you that took the challenge and came out and we had a great showing many people( our group ended up with 40 people) took home medals from the 5k and I am proud of all of you.
Yes it was a small race but the bottom line is we went out and did something good for the heart on a beautiful morning and helped some people at the same time, even if there was a brief interruption from the morons who booed the National Anthem. I personally get the feeling they will never, never do that again….

Happy New Year to Everyone again, now if you have had some set backs on your New Year Resolution don’t give up just yet. Did you know that 90% of people that set out to exercise more for their New Year’s Resolution stop by the 3rd week of January?

So don’t give up maybe you went out too fast, so slow up a little and find some time you can easily add to your already busy schedule of life. It is amazing to me how people find time for work, to watch their investments, for friends, going out, so many other things but there is no time allotted to invest in the only thing you really own, your health and fitness and your physique.

We live in the greatest country in the World and you have the freedom to do whatever you like but remember people this is the first time in our Country’s History where more than 70% of the entire US population is overweight, this now matter how you slice it or dice is not a good thing!

So find something that you will want to do as far as exercise is concerned and just remember the classic fable of the turtle and hare. If you don’t remember let me give you the moral of the story; slow and steady wins the race…..

1/2 Marathon Training during the Week

Hey Everyone we started our FREE 1/2 Marathon Training on Hollywood Beach. If you and your friends would like to come out for FREE Cardio Training then you are more than welcomed to do so.

We will be training right up until Race Day which is Feb 20th, 2011. We train together as a group for our long days which are Sundays. 

This week just work on your 4 15 minute jogging/running segments; just walk/jog/run for 15 minutes and then walk at a good pace for 3 minutes and then continue with your walk/jog/run for 15 minutes again. 

Do this 4 times 2 to 3 times this week try to find the time and get this done. Then Sunday we will go out and have some more fun and increase a little more. We want to acclimate our bodies to the duration of the race and the continuous movement required.
